WEATHER: Temperatures seem to be stuck around mid to high teens, but dry over the next week. Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared.

OUTLOOK: Thursday, 16°/7°, sunny intervals, Friday, 17°/8°, cloudy, Saturday, 17°/7°, cloudy, Sunday, 17°/7°, sunny intervals, Monday, 18°/7°, sunny intervals, Tuesday, 18°/8°, sunny intervals, Wednesday, 19°/11°, cloudy.

CATCH REPORT: May 2024

CASTLES: The lake is always producing several good catches. Several Carp up to 12lb and some nice Tench with one member having caught 7 in one session.

Plenty of skimmers, Rudd, Perch, Roach, Gudgeon and a few Crucian Carp. Spawning has taken place on the lake during this month.  

TOLPITS: Has been fishing very well throughout the month for most species. Some Tench and many large Bream have been out. Lots of small Skimmers, also Perch, Jack Pike, Roach and Rudd. Some named Carp have been caught including Baby Red Cheeks @ 31lb. Several other Carp in the lower and upper doubles also hit the bank. Spawning had taken place on the lake during this month.  

THURLOWS: Fishing extremely well, with several Carp up to 30lb. A few Tench up to 7lb. Perch and a couple of Pike caught also. A large amount of Bream up to 9lb, and plenty of small skimmers, Roach and Rudd. Spawning has taken place on the lake during this month.  

STANLEYS: Fishing very well with some excellent catches of Carp coming out up to 26lb. Several Bream to 7lb, Some good sized Tench up to 6lb. Roach, Perch and many other Skimmers. Spawning has taken place on the lake during this month.  

RIVER: Closed until the 16th June 2024.

MATCH NEWS:  

* Sunday 09th June - Castles - Float Fish Only Trophy - Draw Castles Car Park 08:00 - 08:15. Fish 09:30 - 14:30. Please leave the Lake Saturday 08th June. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed. For Safety reasons do not walk the lake until those who have taken part in the match have packed up and left their swims.

* Sunday 23rd June - Stanleys - Championship Leg 2 - Draw Stanleys Car Park 08:00 - 08:15. Fish 09:30 - 14:30.

NOTE: YOU don't have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a try!

WORK PARTIES:

There are jobs to suit all and Your help will make Our Complex even better. So if you can spare any time to help please do.

WATER MANAGEMENT:

Should any member have access to used scaffold poles that can be used for repairs around Our Complex please contact, Ron, your Water Management Chairman, 07445 975001, it will be greatly appreciated.

DIPPING OF EQUIPMENT:

IMPORTANT - Ensure you dip all nets, cradles, slings and mats before you fish any of Our Lakes and if you move lakes make sure you dip equipment again before fishing your new chosen lake.

GUEST PERMITS:

Guest Permits, as well as from Harefield Tackle, Guest Permits can be purchased from Your Water Management Chairman, Ron Westwood, Mobile: 07445 975001. Please note as per Rule: 13.1 Day Tickets only are available at £10. Day tickets, 24 hour and 48 hour Tickets are available, from the 1st November - 14th March inclusive Each season. See Rule 13 to 13.3 in your Rule Book for full details.
