Re-opening our Complex Saturday 16th May

May 14, 2020

Hello, Members, we are pleased to announce that we are re-opening our Complex Saturday 16 th May from 09:00am. Following is a shortened version of the Dropper being sent to you today.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL (IT MAY HAVE GONE INTO YOUR SPAM FOLDER)

As you have all seen and heard, the Government has started relaxing the rules on lockdown, and a part of this process is the resumption of fishing. For this to be successful, it is extremely  important that we all continue to follow the rules regarding social distancing and hygiene. If these rules are not followed, there is a risk of another virus outbreak, and we will then be forced to close the lakes - and who knows, for a longer period. Please cooperate with club officials - they are there to  make sure you are safe, and it is important that you obey any signs around our Complex; these are also there for your safety. Below you will find a list of rules which must be adhered to for your wellbeing and that of others. Enjoy your fishing.

For those that wish to renew their memberships on the Complex please note the following:

Saturday 16 th May – 10:00 – 15:00 for members with surnames beginning with A to M only
Sunday 17 th May - 10:00 – 15:00 for members with surnames beginning with N to Z only

Night Fishing is allowed, the Government today has confirmed this is allowed. Night Fishing on Thurlows and a part of Tolpits only. Due to recent flooding we have decided not to permit night fishing on the Ebury Way bank and the Lodge bank until we are sure that the water levels will not rise again.

Broadacres Lake. At present fishing is confined to our Complex. We will review this decision at a later date and updates will appear on Facebook and our website.
