Watford Piscators are pleased to advise that our fisheries will remain open as usual, since the risk of contamination is small.
We take the health and safety of our members very seriously and have considered the implications of the current situation.
In our view fishing carries very little risk and that the guidelines for 'social distance' can easily be followed. We have decided that there is no need to close our fisheries but, advise that the
standard advice of increased hand washing continues.
REMEMBER that as you open a padlock someone prior to you has closed it so wash or sanitise your hands immediately afterwards.
Our onsite Toilets will remain open, but we will review this on an ongoing basis and will close them if advice changes.
Work parties will continue to take place, but these will be run mindful of social distancing guidelines.
Matches and other Club events will also continue as scheduled until the advice changes. These again will be run mindful of the circumstances.
No Club meetings will be held for the foreseeable future.
As many of our members are in the ‘at greater risk’ category we urge you to exercise caution and to follow government guidance. Risks are reduced in the open air, but sensible precautions still need to be taken.
Enjoy your Fishing! Stay Well and Stay Safe
