COMPLEX:
*TOLPITS LAKE: Swim 19 closed for clean-up and rebuild Saturday 26th September.
*RIVER: Work party carrying out maintenance along the river, 09:30 – 13:00. For health and safety reasons you may be asked to move whilst work is carried out.
*General Maintenance continues including clipping and strimming around the site
MATCH NEWS:
*Sunday 26th September – River Thames, Thames Windsor, Mike Cole Thames Cup.
*Tuesday 29th September – Castles Lake
Coaching Day for school children. Please leave the Lake midnight Monday 28th September. You can return to fish Tuesday after the sessions have been completed and after those taking part have packed up and left their swims. Do not walk the lake until those taking part have packed up and left their swims.
NOTE:
YOU don’t have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a try!
WATER TAPS:
Please DO NOT use the water taps that are situated near the dip tanks as it’s not safe to drink. Please only use the taps that are at the bungalow (front) or toilet block (side) as these are off the mains supply and is safe to drink, Signs have been put up near all taps letting members know if it is safe or not to drink.
CRAY FISH TRAPS:
Please DO NOT remove Cray Fish Traps from the Lakes and River they are there to protect Our banks from being mined by the Cray Fish causing banks to collapse. If you find a trap is causing you a problem or you are snagged on a Trap, contact a member of Our Fishery Management Team or Bailiff Team.
CHECK – CLEAN – DRY:
Wherever you decide to fish, especially on Our Complex, make sure you Dip all Nets, Buckets, Slings, Mats and Cradles before you fish and again if you change Lakes before you fish and always make sure you carry with you and use, Hand Sanitizer to protect yourself.
FRONT GATE ACCESS/EXIT:
Please can members refrain from locking two links of the chain to the lock as members coming on to the complex afterwards are have some issue’s opening the lock. (until the chain is shortened).
Also, can members put the number pad facing the outside as this will make it easier and quicker to get on to the complex for other members.
CLUB RULES:
You can see all Our Club Rules on Our Clubmate site. After reading the Rules and you are still not sure ask a member of Our Bailiff or Fisheries Management Teams or drop us an email for any clarification needed.
GUEST PERMITS:
Day Guest Permit’s must be obtained before entering the society’s fisheries. See Club Rule 6 for full details. Permits can be obtained from the Clubmate App or Online or Harefield Tackle.
WEATHER:
Some wet weather forecast for next week. Looking at the temperatures over the next week during the day – 24° to 19° and 17° to 9° at night. Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared. In any hot weather make sure you have plenty of fluids, shade and sunscreen. Important Make sure you have a bucket of lake water to wet the surface of your unhooking gear to protect Our fish.
