ICE ON LAKES UPDATE: To update you, all four lakes have been checked for ice today, Thursday 16th January, and all four lakes are now fishable. There are still some small ice patches around but, nothing to be concerned about.If you decide to visit Our Complex over this weekend, please be extra careful when checking out any swims as banks are still wet and could still be slippery.

INFORMATION REGARDING WINTER FISHING SUPPLIED BY THE ANGLING TRUST:

The change in weather doesn’t mean you need to stop fishing. Some species feed heavily throughout winter and are actually at their biggest weights at this time of year.Rivers are often your best bet, and species like Chub, Perch and Pike, among others can all be caught with a little perseverance and planning. Baits such as maggots and worms are often the best options, and finding those fish close in slack margins and snags can often produce the goods. Sometimes just an hour or two at the right time is all you need, and remember to fish safely, going well prepared for the conditions with the right clothing and fully charged phone.
